Our Expertise
What we do
Problems arise daily in most business activities and in the lives of business owners. These issues can range from conflicts with business partners, co-owners, or CEOs, to complex deals burdened by commercial, regulatory, legal, or financial challenges. You might face commercial negotiations where the parties are deadlocked, or the division of business assets between former spouses, which threatens to disrupt operations. In other cases, a company’s goods or assets might be held up due to complex regulatory legislation. Or, perhaps a client has identified a promising investment opportunity but lacks the financing and expertise to structure it.
Addressing these or other challenges typically requires hiring various consultants, developing a mitigation strategy, and managing the process. This demands a specific skill set, experience, and a broad network of professionals and contacts. While many clients are experts in their own business domains, they often lack extensive experience in navigating distressed situations. As a result, attempting to resolve these issues independently can be ineffective and overwhelming. Numerous questions will arise: What should be the first step? Who should I contact? Which law firm should I hire? Should I initiate negotiations or file a lawsuit? Where can I secure funding for my deal? How do I find an investor for a distressed project? These are just a few of the dozens, if not hundreds, of questions that need to be answered. Managing all these simultaneously requires strong project management skills.
SOLVIGA is a firm equipped to handle these challenges on behalf of our clients, doing so with professionalism and expertise. This allows our clients to focus on their core business activities, saving valuable time and avoiding unnecessary stress and emotional strain that can not only be uncomfortable but also distract from their primary objectives.
We are consultants who genuinely believe in the value of our work. That’s why we are prepared to offer partial contingency agreements on most projects. If the client is unsuccessful due to our shortcomings, we will earn less or even nothing. But if the client succeeds with our assistance, we share in that success.
Projects Portfolio
Aleksandr Zablockis has a proven track record since 2007 whereby he successfully guided numerous clients through their challenges. Below you will find several examples of the succesfully accomplished projects
Resolution of the corporate dispute through negotiations
The corporate dispute was on the brink of multiple lawsuits, criminal charges, reputational damage, and potential bankruptcy. However, establishing a clear dialogue and understanding the consequences of escalating conflicts helped facilitate effective negotiations, ultimately leading to a resolution that benefited all parties involved.
Successful management of multi-jurisdictional litigation
The holding company in the EU fell victim to a high-profile fraud involving multiple parties across various jurisdictions, resulting in the loss of valuable assets. A successfully implemented strategy—including litigation, PR, negotiations, multiple transactions, and securing financing—helped protect the company’s interests and recover most of the lost assets.
Purchase of a distressed assets
The client was interested in purchasing a distressed asset, believing that the issues causing its distress could be resolved and its value enhanced. Through a well-structured transaction, both goals were successfully achieved—the client acquired the desired asset without any distress factors.
